Scam Warning: How to Spot Fake European Job Offers & Visa Scams

International candidates from outside the EU/EEA are heavily targeted by fake recruiters, fraudulent visa agencies, and advance-fee employment scams. European law strictly protects job seekers:

1. Recruitment Fees Are IllegalUnder European legislation and ILO conventions, charging candidates fees for recruitment, interviews, or work placement is prohibited by law.
2. No Guaranteed VisasNo private company or recruiter can guarantee visa or residence permit issuance. Visas are sovereign decisions granted solely by embassies and migration directorates.
3. Official VerificationAlways check the employer's legal registration on the national commercial registry (e.g. Handelsregister in Germany, YTJ in Finland, KVK in the Netherlands).
