Privacy Policy & Device Storage
Labour Europe operates on a privacy-first technical architecture. We do not track your browsing, load third-party analytics cookies, or harvest personal relocation information.
1. Edge Delivery & Server Logs
Labour Europe is hosted statically on globally distributed edge hosting (Cloudflare Pages). When your browser requests pages, style files, or scripts, the edge network processes technical network metadata necessary to deliver the content securely and prevent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks:
- Data Processed: IP address, user-agent string, HTTP request URI, timestamp, and referring URL.
- Purpose: Content delivery, DDoS mitigation, and network security.
- Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): Legitimate interest in providing a functional, resilient, and secure public archive.
- Retention: Ephemeral edge operational logs are retained for standard operational periods (typically up to 30 days) and purged automatically. We do not aggregate these logs into individual user tracking profiles.
No Frontend Tracking or Third-Party Cookies: We do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or advertising cookies. No user tracking cookies are written to your browser.
2. Local-Only Device Storage (LocalStorage)
Our interactive tools—specifically the Arrival Preparation Checklist—include an explicit feature to preserve your task state between sessions.
If you choose to click "Save on this device", your task completion status and custom task items are stored strictly in your browser’s standard HTML5 localStorage API. This data:
- Remains 100% local to your specific browser profile.
- Is never transmitted across the network or sent to our servers.
- Can be purged at any moment by clicking "Reset Default" in the tool or clearing your browser storage.
3. Interactive Calculators & Inputs
All figures entered into the Hourly Pay Converter, Moving Budget Tool, Student Budget Planner, and Job Offer Comparison Calculator are processed locally in real-time within your device’s JavaScript runtime.
We do not transmit salary numbers, rent estimates, or financial assumptions to any server, nor do we encode personal financial amounts into shareable URL parameters.
4. Monetization & Future Advertising Policy
Labour Europe launches with all commercial advertising disabled.
If programmatic advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) is ever introduced in the future, it will only occur after:
- Full verified operator accounts and business registrations are established.
- An officially certified Google Consent Management Platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) is implemented to obtain explicit consent for European visitors under GDPR and ePrivacy directives.
- We explicitly repudiate using uncertified homemade consent banners as substitutes for certified CMPs.
